Birth of Campusquare Foundation

The Campusquare Foundation came into existence driven by the realization that the education provided in rural schools was inadequate, hindering the growth and opportunities for children in those areas. Illiteracy was prevalent, with even basic reading skills in local languages or English eluding young minds. With over two-thirds of Indians residing in rural regions, the Foundation recognized the pressing need to address the challenges of early school dropouts, improve education through innovative and sustainable approaches, and actively involve the community in transforming the lives of rural youth.

Fuelled by the belief that empowering girls through education is a catalyst for societal change, the Campusquare Foundation focuses on funding girls’ education. The Foundation recognizes that educated girls are less likely to marry at a young age, more likely to lead healthy and productive lives, and contribute to reducing inequality. Education gives them a voice to shape their own future and that of their families. A girl’s education strengthens the fabric of society, fostering resilience and progress. Beyond mere enrolment, the Foundation aims to provide a supportive environment for girls, ensuring their academic choices are respected and they feel secure in the classroom, even in traditionally male-dominated fields.
